We believe that Jesus calls us to defy the norm of superficial relationships and genuinely engage in each others' lives. A healthy church body encourages one other (1 Thess. 5.11), bears one another’s burdens (Gal. 6.2), and practices genuine hospitality (Acts 2.46). We enable these relationships in part through regular small group gatherings called "Life Groups".
Life Groups consist of about 8-15 people who meet in homes around South Charlotte, outside the context of weekly Sunday worship. We use this time to catch up, to read and study God’s Word, and to pray with and for each other. Life Groups meet 2-3 times every month and each group is open to anybody. We encourage you to choose the group which is most convenient for you.
New life groups for 2018-2019 are forming in September. Meeting times and general locations for each group are below. Please contact email@example.com for information about addresses, contact information, and meeting schedules.
Families are the pillars of our community. We are here to join parents in the joys and trials of raising young children, and to be a partner in preaching the gospel to the youngest generation (Deut. 6.4-7). Childcare is available every Sunday morning for children ages 0 to 5. Check your children in prior to the service or keep them with you during worship if you choose. There is also an opportunity to take your child to childcare before the sermon begins.
At check-in you will receive a security tag for each child which you'll use to pick them up after the service. Your phone number is printed on this tag and we will text or call you if we need your help at any time.
Christ is our model for nurturing children and we are here to love them and encourage them (Matt. 19.14). We teach the Gospel through Christ-focused Bible stories and apply the day's lesson using crafts and games. As we begin to grow our Church, all children will be grouped in a single class. However, we plan to introduce age-specific classes and create a Children's Church for children up to age 12. Expect more news about these offerings in late 2018.
Our Youth Group exists to supplement family life and corporate worship in maturing young adults in the knowledge and love of Christ. Currently we meet on Sunday evenings two or three times each month, typically at a home in the South Charlotte area. We spend our time hanging out, studying the Bible and praying together in small groups.
We desire to see young adults build their foundation in the Christian faith and realize the fullness of Christ, that they may be strengthened to endure in him as they grow into adulthood (1 Peter 2.4-7). During this transitional time in a teen's life, we want to give them the opportunity to search for real answers to hard questions and explore the Gospel in a deeper way together (Eph. 4.11-16).
If you have children in middle school or high school, or if you yourself are in middle school or high school, we'd love for you to join us! Contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll get back to you with more information.
